In the heart of New Delhi, Natya Tarangini, a performing arts centre of unparalleled excellence, emerged in 1976 under the visionary leadership of the world-renowned dancing couple, Drs. Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. This institution has since dedicated itself tirelessly to the preservation, propagation, and promotion of Indian Dance and Music within our nation.

Preservation through ‘Parampara Series’

Natya Tarangini initiated the ‘Parampara Series,’ a national and international festival of dance and music, as a pivotal movement aimed at enriching our daily lives with the vibrant tapestry of culture. Today, it stands proudly as a testament to its success, having recently celebrated its 27th Parampara series edition with an unwavering commitment to preserving its art and culture.

A Spectacular Celebration

The heart of this festival lies in the presentation of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. In 2023, Natya Tarangini organized a grand celebration spanning three days from October 6th to 8th at the Raja Radha Rangmanch Natya Tarangini Performing Art Centre, located at Plot No. 49 & 52, Sec-6, Pushp Vihar, Saket, New Delhi 17.

Distinguished guests from the town, including Rajiv Pratap Rudy, a Member of Parliament from the BJP, and Neelam Pratap Rudy, graced the occasion alongside renowned personalities like Sharon Lowen, Jaya Prabhu Manon, Abha Dalmia, Rita Ganguly, Pernia Qureshi, and Pooja Chauhan, a social activist. Also present were Vishali Jain, Gloria Berbena from the US Embassy, and Veena Reddy Scot, the UN Aid Head, India.

A Global Stage for Cultural Fusion

Natya Tarangini has transformed itself into a beacon of success, primarily through its celebrated festival series. This series has consistently showcased artists from across the globe, fostering cultural exchange and appreciation. Performances by The Moscow Classical Ballet, the Paul Taylor Dance Company, flamenco maestro Jose Porcel, and mesmerizing whirling dervishes have graced this grand platform. Alongside these international sensations, Indian stalwarts such as Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Kishori Amonkar, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Dr. M. Balamurali Krishna, Begum Parveen Sultana, Vyjayanthimala Bali, Kelucharan Mohapatra, Hariharan, Alarmel Valli, Pt. Birju Maharaj and Astad Deboo have mesmerized audiences, celebrating the rich tapestry of Indian heritage with a cosmopolitan worldview.

Over the last 26 years, Natya Tarangini has been conducting the Parampara series without break, bringing authentic innovative concerts year after year. 2020 brought the performing artists in India tough times, this festival was an attempt to bring the arts sector back on its feet. By bringing visibility to the artists and the festival, they spread hope as they moved ahead.
