Renowned NGO Lakshyam, dedicated to driving social change and uplifting underprivileged communities, has unveiled its annual fundraising initiative, “Fashion for A Cause 12th Year 2024,” with Dhanmill as the associate partner. This year’s event, slated for February 11, 2024, at the National Craft Museum, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, served as a rallying point for designers, celebrities, and influencers across various sectors to unite in supporting the cause of underprivileged children’s education.
Partnering with the women’s wing of FICCI, the Young FICCI Ladies Organization (YFLO), Lakshyam has further amplified its impact. With a membership base of 12,000 professional women spanning India, YFLO remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering women nationwide.
Fashion for a Cause 2024 seamlessly blends fashion and philanthropy, offering an unparalleled spectacle in India. This event brings together fashion industry luminaries with underprivileged children, creating a platform that is both uplifting and inspiring. It serves as a catalyst for positive change and a beacon of hope for those striving for a brighter future. This year’s focus is on improving Kirby Place, a slum in central Delhi where 10,000 individuals, primarily street vendors and beggars, have resided for the past three decades without access to basic amenities like electricity.
Founder of Lakshyam, Raashi Anand, emphasizes that the event goes beyond a mere runway show, offering a transformative opportunity to secure a promising future for the children of beneficiaries. “Together, we aim to create a ripple effect of empowerment and upliftment,” she asserts.
YFLO Delhi President Divya Jain echoes this sentiment, highlighting the alignment of their efforts with the event’s mission to support and uplift communities. “Our collaboration with Lakshyam seeks to foster a more promising and equitable future for all,” she affirms.
The event, hosted at The Dhanmill, showcases the fusion of high-end luxury fashion with social impact. Lakshyam’s children walk hand-in-hand with esteemed fashion icons, including Rohit Bal, Varun Bahl, and Shantnu & Nikhil, donning unique silhouettes crafted by these acclaimed designers. The event also draws attendance from prominent personalities such as Manoj Tiwari, Divya Jain, Gunjan Jain, Priya Jain, Daman Banga, Poonam Anand, Rishab Jain, Blossom Kochhar, Shilpa Bammi Sikka, Aishwarya Bansal, Payal Kanodia, Aman Wadhanwan, Sanjeev Bijli, Garima Nagpal, Shuchi Patni, and Harpreet Suri, among others, further amplifying its reach and impact.
