Sanjay Bhattacharyya’s Geometric Evolution

Sanjay Bhattacharyya, known for his artistic evolution, shares his excitement about this exhibition, saying, “For the first time, I am going to display geometric abstractions in my work. In 2006, I created a series titled ‘Tribute to my Masters,’ and in 2012, I worked on a series titled ‘Krishna.’ In both series, geometrical shapes played a subtle supporting role. However, in this exhibition, geometrical shapes take centre stage. The entire creative process involves the deliberate division of space, sometimes even unconsciously. In this series, my canvases became my masters, guiding me and offering hints about where and how to incorporate these shapes. It has been an incredible 64-year journey, culminating in this artistic revelation.”
