The journey towards influence, a heartwarming camaraderie, and the allure of the 1960s; Disney+ Hostar’s imminent, high-voltage production, ‘Sultan Of Delhi,’ possesses all these elements.

Adapted from Arnab Ray’s novel, ‘Sultan of Delhi: Ascension,’ this series is backed by Reliance Entertainment, helmed by Milan Luthria, with additional direction and co-writing contributions from Suparn Verma. Milan Luthria, in his debut as an OTT director, promises to resurrect the charm of bygone India, promising a grand cinematic spectacle. ‘

Sultan Of Delhi’ is slated for release on October 13th, 2023, and boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, seasoned actor Vinay Pathak, Nishant Dahiya, and the talented trio of Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi, and Mehreen Pirzada.

When it comes to preparing for a role, true immersion into the character’s essence becomes imperative, especially when the story is set in a bygone era. Tahir Raj Bhasin opens up about how he delved into his character’s persona prior to the commencement of filming for ‘Sultan of Delhi.’

Reflecting on his preparation, Tahir Raj Bhasin articulates, “To begin with, I delved into the original novel to grasp the overarching narrative. To gain insights into the socio-political and economic landscape of the era, I immersed myself in documentaries that provided profound perspectives on Delhi’s state following the partition. After finalizing costume trials, I adopted vintage denim and boots, intending to literally walk in the character’s shoes. In pursuit of authentic nostalgia, I indulged in the fragrance of old spice for weeks leading up to the shoot. Furthermore, I curated a playlist comprising classic rock hits from the 1960s and 1970s.”
